What is the best laptop broadband deal?
For internet on the go, you go to a cell phone company and…
Get an air-card with a data plan and plug it into your laptop’s USB port.
Or get a PDA-phone with a data plan and…
You can either subscribe to a service called thethering (they charge you monthly for this) which allows you to use your phone’s data plan via bluetooth or USB to a single computer.
Or if you get a Windows Mobile phone, you can use a software called WMWiFiRouter which turns your phone into a “mobile hotspot” where you can access the phone’s data plan with any WiFi device in range. It’s like Starbucks in your pocket. You won't have to pay extra $ monthly for an air-card and can even give your friends the password so you can "share" the internet in a laptop party around your phone.
Make sure whatever you want is available from your phone and provider. Note that providers might not suggest WMWiFiRouter or “know about it” because they do not like this since it takes away from their air-card subscription service. You’ll have to look up the compatibility on other phone sites and see if anyone has done it.
One warning is that this will reduce the phone battery pretty quick so you might want to buy a car USB charger or whatever if you're going to do this on the road a lot.
Google Sprint SERO, as I believe there is a way on the internet to let you sign up for a discount, if it's still available. I got for $30, 500 minutes, unlimited data and text from them.

iiNet have some really good deals at the moment. The Naked DSL. I have 70gb of downloads a month, and my home phone is connected through it, so no line rental and national land-line calls are free for about $60/month
