Comments on: how come BT offer great broadband deals for new customers, but dont care about reducing prices for existing?

a friend of mine has sky broadband and its very quick a lot quicker than bt and telewest i thought. BT wont let me leave them though, unfortunately otherwise i would go sky broadband

I suggested I was considering switching and they offered £5 per month discount to stay with them for another year. So I did. Once that's up I'm looking again as I've heard sky can do faster connection speeds around our way even though BT say we can't go any faster..
