Can someone help with broadband wireless in UK?

Please can you offer any wisdom about broadband wireless for a friend who lives in Portsmouth? She’s just purchased a laptop, and is confused as to the options for internet service.

Any advice or pointers to review websites would be very much appreciated.

Have her check with her local cable company to see if they offer broadband capabilities. If they do, she will need to purchase a wireless router and make her her laptop has wireless capablities built in. If not, then she’ll need a card. That should be a good start
