I've been with Sky Broadband since February, when I changed over from Telewest (now Virgin I believe). I was sick and tired of Telewest constantly putting their prices up for an atrocious service.
I was a bit dubious about going to a provider that was only charging £10 a month, but I thought I'd give it a go.
And what a pleasant surprise! Cheap and very fast - much, MUCH faster than Telewest.
I would recommend it, because I doubt you'd find a service as good for ten quid a month.

My only two criticisms:
1. The guy who came to install was an absolute t0sser. Rude, unfriendly, unhelpful. Said he couldn't do the job - it was too complicated, and needed a "special team" to do it due to the complications. Couldn't possibly do it on his own, no no no.

The second guy who came a week or so later couldn't have been more different. Very helpful, friendly etc. Did the job in half an hour! No need for a "special team" at all. Clearly the first chap just couldn't be bothered to do the job.

2. My other criticism is that the router stops working every so often. You can be in the middle of something on the net, and it stalls for no reason. So you have to switch it off for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This seems to do the trick - for a while anyway. I keep meaning to call Sky and ask for a new router, but just never get around to it.

So, my advice is to give it a try. You get a trial period (2/3 weeks I think), so if you decide you don't like it, just call them up and cancel with no forfeit.

Hope this helps.
References :
I have a friend with Sky (via the phone line - not satelite) and she lives in Bradford. The installation was rubbish so at first it wasn't much better than dial up but I went over and had a mess and she now get 6Mb plus on a regular basis.

At £10 a month I would give it a go - I am with BT too and have a good bit of my contract to go yet!
